It Contain the ENTIRE Internet

I have a new phone, yos!

Not that there was anything particularly wrong with Chibi-suke, but it's charger didn't always work reliably. So when the store clerk says to you, "a new charger is $30, but you're eligible for a phone upgrade" and the phone you want is also $30, you start thinking about getting a new phone.

And then......I didn't get the one that was $30 that I wanted (The Pantech Matrix), I didn't even get the free phone which I've wanted since I first saw it even though it was an LG (more later) (The LG Shine). No, my friends......I've ventured into the territory of the glories of the "smartphone". No, not "THAT" smartphone, I'm not a billionaire (or trendy). The phone of which I speak is the LG Incite.

Now, I tend to generally be overly cautious of even coming to close to electronics that bear the LG name. Most everyone I've talked to who owned one of their phones was totally happy with it for about a year or so until they realized that, in reality, the phone was really a complete piece of junk. And then there was Haru's foray into Korea, where everything LG he owned except his air conditioner was also inevitably a pile of junk. But they all LOOK so incredibly cool. That was our motto in regards to the LG corporation........"Focus on features, not on functioning."

And here I am with an LG phone. And I would have gotten the Shine had I been able to use their trackball system without constantly ending up in the wrong menu. So......why? Well..........it's so awesome. It connects to wi-fi, it syncs with my computer to get my e-mail, and it has a 3 MEGAPIXEL CAMERA!!!!!!! (Didn't I just recently make a comment about wanting my phone to be more phone and less camera? I think I did.) Plus you can get a very tiny SD memory card and store all sorts of things like pictures, movies, and music on it. Plus Haru did actually ask the guy at Best Buy Mobile "Is this phone going to be a piece of crap?" The guy said no. He said the OTHER LG Smartphone was, but people had been happy with this one. And..........This shit is crazy. I haven't looked at the manual yet (because it comes on a CD....wtf?) but I'm slowly figuring things out. Maybe I'll take a stab at making some ringtones for myself today. And changing the background image to pretty much whatever I want. My biggest gripe is that Windows Mobile is slow sometimes ("It is a little slow"), and that you can't see the screen in direct sunlight. But it does have the feature of the Shine where I can see my reflection in the front of the phone. Which is pretty much why I WANTED the Shine. Sometimes I want to check my face.
